How have you been doing? I recently got a bit too BPD and now I’m in this little stage where I really wanna improve as a person, getting into self care and all that shit. It’s a bit silly, and I’m sure it’s something akin to mania, but I think it’s good for me to feel so stimulated to take care of myself! For me, it’ll get me a compliment or two from my FP and overall I’ll feel better for them. And I end up feeling good for myself so…happiness for the whole family!

i've been doing really well!! it's similar for me actually, i'm finally doing some really hard work with my therapist and it sucks but it's making me want to get better. i really do believe that it's what i'm here to do, and it feels wonderful to have a purpose again. i always say that the meaning of life is something you have to find for yourself, but i never really bothered with it. i always considered myself a lost cause. but maybe i can get out of this. maybe one day i won't feel so small and scared ... it feels wonderful to feel wonderful :]

and it is good !! even if it's just mania, it's always good to take care of yourself. i always relearn some unfortunate truths whenever i bother with self care like "i feel more like a person when i bother to shower and eat breakfast" LOLOL

overall i've been doing a lot better i think :] im finally starting to break out of the mindset i worked myself into with my ex and im feeling much better for it. i've actually had several people irl tell me that im looking visibly better completely unprompted and it catches me off gaurd every time haha

i haven't been doing much but !! im hoping to get back into the swing of things, especially with school coming up in september ... but it's gonna be the last year before college!! im a senior!! wtf!! it feels weird going into senior year at 16 but i did start kindergarten at like 4 years old so i guess it tracks /silly

right now the project i want to get back on is my neocities ... it's a total mess right now while i figure out html and css, but hopefully eventually i can make it my own !! it's very vaguely space themed right now but eventually i wanna theme it off of myself since like. all of our interests come and go but unfortunately i remain /silly .. it'll be difficult but lots of fun !! fumblr is driving me insaaaaaane with this error 420 bullshit. it happens at least once a week. sometimes multiple times a day. i’m randomly logged out and unable to access my account on any device or app - for no reason?? it usually takes some finagling of accessing different help pages until the log-in page loads, or just waiting it out. google is zero help. i’ve contacted tumblr about it numerous times with no word about what the issue is or how to fix it. kinda feel like i’m going insane because no one else seems to be experiencing this?? on the whole internet?? wtf?? 

fore reference: i use tumblr on my iphone (se) in the tumblr app (i’ve stopped logging in on the chrome app because i thought that might’ve been fucking with things) and on chrome on my mac desktop (which can’t update past Catalina bc it’s old af but fuck apple for not letting old devices upgrade). 

so it’s 1:30pm here right now and i’ve only just been able to log back in after being unable to access my account/view tumblr since 9am from my phone - the app would throw up the now familiar orange and red backed errors of nonsensical words/numbers/symbols and the dash would go empty and my blog disappear; when i close it and open it the login throws up a red error saying “something flubbed”. i’ve tried turning shit on and off, logging out of apps, uninstalling, etc etc. this is what the desktop shows me when i try to access any part of tumblr (even non-dashboard blogs):

^ sometimes it’s a white background with black writing, but it’s always the same “420″ displayed in the top left corner. on every. tumblr. page. 

i don’t know what the fuck is going on so i’m putting this out there in case anyone else is dealing with the same madness inducing mystery.

Has anyone experienced this with Google Drive? I can't download anything from my Google Drive if I'm using Chrome. This is the error message I see. When I try it on Firefox, it's fine. (I know, I know: just use Firefox.) I've tried resetting Chrome to default, making sure third party cookies are allowed, and other things. WTF is going on? And what kind of generic shit is "HTTP error"?????

Does the sign-up method (email or Google) affect whether Tumblr makes you follow 3 blogs during the process? What is the truth?? I checked

Anyway, here are the results of my experiment:

Other notes: it showed me the old dashboard layout on two out of three new accounts. Wtf?

Also, I could not sign up via Google in Firefox because I kept getting a "bad request" error even after turning off cookie protection. I had to use Chrome in the end, and then deleting the account was much harder because it made me reset my password first. Don't use Google to register for things, kids!

Please note that it's possible to opt out of the seemingly mandatory following of blogs and tags during registration by simply clicking the Tumblr logo to get to your brand-new dashboard immediately. It's not intuitive and new users won't think of it, but it's possible.

Furthermore, this is not new. Annoying as it may be, it has been the case for at least a year if not more (who knows, might be as many as 5). I would love some data on that as well if anyone has it.

omfg. My "concierge" shopper is on vacation. Last week we did shipt again and it fucking sucked. So we tried to do instacart last night, and it was a clusterfuck for about an hour after which our account was locked. This morning I had to give them gorram drivers license and visa card images to try to restore the account just so I can kill the subscription. To even get the privilege of giving them those documents to restore my account, I had to call the senior help center, because any other help required you to log in, which was precisely what I needed help with. When you call, it says "Are you 60 or over?" 57, close enough, fuckers.

So then I tried to just do Safeway. Okay, do you want to do our Fresh Pass delivery? Free to try. Sure. And it lost my cart info at least four times. I finally switched to fucking Google Chrome, which only lost my cart info twice. WTF. I am really, really tired of entering which yogurts my sweetie wants. Over an hour to shop.

I will be soooooo glad when our shopper is back next week. She's amazing and so worth the expense.

(If I tried to go back in a grocery store--something I haven't done since March 2020--I would have to go twice, because I fail about halfway through. Just don't have the spoons. And then there's hauling it all home and upstairs. Not gonna happen. I know I'm really privileged to be able to pay someone to shop, and I'm really grateful for that.)

It kind of sucks that I feel like I should have moved to Mozilla Firefox pretty much like, yesterday, because I have been getting fed up with Google Chrome since pretty much... over 10 years ago, and yet, AND YET, I have been so used to its stupid new features, to the commodity of having everything linked to my Google Account (except a period of time between 2017-2020 where I had to unlink my Account in the browser because of previous "profile" stuff that got PRETTY bad for my mental health. Like, yeah, I know there's plenty of stuff that I COULD be scared of because, let's be real here, we are talking about Google... but, even so.

Thing is, just because of some thing that has to do with compressed files, temporary files and the fact the Chrome THINKS these do not exist according to the route of access... AND YET, it seems to work PERFECTLY fine on Firefox it's just whole thinking emoji moment that is soo annoying to me.

To fuel the fire, I tested this out in another computer, with Windows 11 (I use Windows 10), and it seems to work OKAY, like, wtf is your deal with me, Chrome?!

AND, AND... all of this because Microsoft HAD to rework their visualizer software program for images that has been standard from Windows XP to Windows 8 to the stinky Photos app, so I tend to prefer to open everything pics in Chrome instead of decompressing the zip/rar files on my Explorer browser.
